Itinerary
This safari starts from Watamu, at 06:00am we will pick you up from your Hotel and get on the road to Tsavo East National Park.
Our first stop will be Crocodile Point at the River Galana where you can spot crocodiles afterwards we will continue to the park. You will arrive at the park around 10:30am where we will head into the wild savannah for a game drive until 01:00pm when we will drive to the camp for lunch and check in.
After check in you can relax in your room or by the pool until 03:00pm when we have our second game drive. Afternoon game drives offer a unique and exciting experience because many animals are more active during the cooler late afternoon hours. This time of day is ideal for spotting predators like lions and leopards beginning to hunt, as well as herbivores such as elephants and giraffes, which become more visible. The increased activity of the animals enhances the chances of witnessing dynamic wildlife interactions.
The second game drives end at 06:30pm and We will then return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Kilimanjaro and the Elephants of Amboseli
After beautiful sunrise over the vast savannah of tsavo and a heavy breakfast we will depart Tsavo East for Amboseli, a fantastic park with great views of Mount Kilimanjaro and is one of the best places in Africa to encounter large herds of elephants up close!
Amboseli has several habitat types ranging from savannahs to wetlands and you can find over 600 species of birds, big cats and many other species of mammals including all the Big Five!
You’ll arrive in time at Amboseli National Park in time for lunch and we can check in.
Late afternoon you'll head out into Amboseli for our second game drive to explore the park, you'll stop at Mzima springs for a short nature walk where you can see hippos and many species of bird. The lighting during the late afternoon, often referred to as the "golden hour," provides beautiful, soft, and warm light. This time is perfect for photography, allowing you to capture stunning images of both wildlife and landscapes. The warm tones and long shadows create a picturesque and almost magical quality to your photos, making the memories even more special.
At 6:00pm we head back to the camp for dinner and overnight
Start the day with a morning game drive after an early breakfast. Depart the park at 10:00 AM and drive back to Watamu, arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon.
